priorities & the hard sell.

Whatever else you're doing right now, stop it. go to this website which speaks about an the Garden of Hope, which is trying to counter the evil of human trafficking in Thailand. research if you like, pray if you're into that, donate if you are able (psst, you're able). Seriously, all my readers, you are all conscientious, upstanding folks who want to make the world a better place. $25 to provide a place to get in off the streets a couple hours a day FOR A MONTH is not a lot. $50 to provide for absolutely every need for a child for an entire month is not a lot. i'm donating. you really should too. even if it's a one time thing. awesome. $25 dollars is 5 cups at starbucks (unless you get the grande raspberry white chocolate mocha, then it's just 3.5 cups). it's less than a pair of pants. it's half what i paid for three kids' halloween costumes last night (i promise pictures soon).

I'll make you a deal. support the Garden of Hope. write me a comment. (you don't have to disclose an amount or anything, unless you want to brag about how much you gave. we could have a contest. that'd be hott.) plus, this can be a team thing: get your friend, dart league, drinking buddies, Bible study, book club, bowling team, co-workers together and donate as a group.
i have 2 amazing friends going over to Thailand later this week, one will be working with the Garden of Hope for an extended period. (P.S. she's working for free.) I want to make sure she has plenty of funds to use to help provide women and children with a way out of sexual exploitation.

If you donate and tell me about it, i'll make sure you get a completely unique picture of whatever you want in Thailand (in reason & good taste). $25 is not a lot to you, but it makes a world of difference for other folks. give some money away, it'll feel great!

I like that there is that opportunity. I am glad that Sarah and Hannah are headed over there. One part of me wishes I was going too.
I like you.

yeah Lissie,

if you want to donate you have to go to the "click here for options and info" and go that way. the primary link is dead.
